FAQ
How Do I know what I am buying is genuine?
This is the most important question for you as the customer and for me as the seller.
This is why we obtain the signatures ourselves or deal only with a handful of "In Person Autograph Collectors" that we are willing to put our name and reputation too. This enables us to provide a double your money back Certificate of Authenticity. We also provide details of when and where the item was signed with the C.O.A. We encourage all our customers to question us about the provenance of any item.
How do you get your autographs?
We put a lot of time and effort into obtaining our autographs, because we are so close to London we attend Film Locations & Film Premieres in Leicester Square. To ensure we get the best spot we quite often spend the night queuing at the venue to increase our chances of getting autographs. We also book private signings with those who are willing but this is not available for stars such as Johnny Depp or Daniel Craig.
But I can buy cheaper on **** (internet auction sites)?
Unfortunately over the years the trade in fake memorabilia has grown massively.
One of the easiest ways I can tell if an item is counterfeit is by the price. Although there are some great bargains more often that not a great percentage of items purchased on these sites are worthless. The customer will only come to realise this when they come to sell the item much later on. If the price is to good to be true then it generally it is.
What does an AFTAL approved dealer mean?
It fundamentally means that the customer can buy with confidence that the item is genuine.
AFTAL is the "Autograph Fair Trade Association Limited" which is a non-profit making body run for the benefit of its members and the general public. All members undergo a strict selection process before becoming members. Membership is an endorsement of the members professional competence, and confirms to the public that the member is committed to providing authentic items.
AFTAL is committed in working with Police, Trading Standards and others to find and ensure prosecution of those involved in the creation and sale of non-authentic material.
Would you be able to get specific actor/director to sign something for me?
Yes. If you are patient enough we are able to get the individual to sign the item if possible. There would be an obvious cost in this, which would be depending on who or what is to be signed. I would encourage anybody to ask us and we will give an idea of how difficult this will be. There would be individuals who I know would be unlikely to sign which I would explain. BE VERY CAUTIOUS OF ANYBODY WHO GUARANTEES THEY WILL GET THE STAR TO SIGN, ESPECIALLY IF THEY CAN HAVE IT TO YOU IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS.
Do You Provide items for Charity Auctions?
Yes. We love to involve ourselves in charity fundraising auctions and are able to tailor the pieces provided to suit the persons attending the events. These pieces are provided on a "Sale or Return" basis to maximise the amount raised for the charity. We have reduced prices for Charity Auctions with a further 10% of our selling price going to the nominated charity.
I have a picture/boxing glove singed can you frame this for me?
Yes. We do all our own bespoke framing and can frame most items. The website pictures will give you an idea of what your item will look like.
